AMD revealed Ryzen, the brand for its all-new high-performance desktop and notebook processors based on the innovative Zen architecture. The Ryzen x86 processor core features a 40 percent generational improvement in instructions per clock, delivering a landmark increase in processor performance. The high-performance desktop market is growing, supported by three key factors - PC gaming hardware is predicted for a 35 percent growth from 2015 to 2020, VR PCs are predicted to grow 10X by 2020, while eSports continues to soar. AMD Ryzen high-performance processors will take enthusiast PC users to the next horizon of computing. In addition, AMD also unveiled new sensing, adapting, and learning technologies in Ryzen processors, called AMD SenseMI Technology. AMD Ryzen processors for desktops are expected to be available in Q1 2017. AMD Raven Ridge notebook processors, based on the Zen core, launching in 2H 2017, will also carry the brand Ryzen.
