Commodore 64 Ultimate Announced

Re-Introducing the C64C. We knew from the start, it would be a race. From the moment the first Commodore 64 Ultimate arrived, the community was going to find a way to give their Ultimate the C64C 'Slimline' treatment. We knew you wanted it. We were hoping we could beat you to it. But it's only fitting the community crossed the finish line first. The year was 1986. Commodore had just launched the Amiga and Commodore 128. Millions of 64 owners were concerned they'd be left behind. Reports were that Commodore shut down the 64 assembly line multiple times. But each time, the demand demanded the production line be restarted. Enter the C64C. A Commodore 64 in a sleek, new housing, resembling the more modern Commodore 128.
